Meet Elizabeth

1) In the pre-Google era (yes, that was a thing!), I was already on a quest to discover natural remedies. Think pressure points for headaches and raspberry leaf tea for cramps. I am basically a human encyclopedia of holistic solutions.

2) I've got an undeniable obsession with nature. While living in Philadelphia, I hauled around a box of rocks through 11 moves in 13 years and cultivated a mini-forest of plants. My living space? It's basically a sanctuary for all things green and leafy.

3) When I'm not breathing new life into old furniture or crafting tables from vintage doors, I channel my creativity into healthy meal planning for my clan. Silly day names, like "Try It" Tuesday, add a dash of fun—even if one family member's playing hard to get with dinner.

4) Dry humor and sarcasm are my secret weapons, helping me stay grounded. My youngest daughter's inherited the wit—watch out, world!

5) I am an eternal student, always nose-deep in books or knee-deep in research. My insatiable curiosity fuels my holistic mission for family and clients.

6) Catch me, my husband and 2 daughters on daily walks with the beagle—three times a day, rain or shine. I've become the neighborhood's beloved "Beagle Lady." And when we're not strolling, you'll find the Kerrick crew plotting our next national park adventure.

HOW IT STARTED

MY STORY

In the wake of my brother's sudden passing in December 2000, I stumbled upon Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and, subsequently, Shiatsu. Grief enveloped me, both physically and emotionally, a heavy burden that time couldn't rush. It was during these endless moments of sorrow that I sensed movement held the key to my healing.

So, in 2001, armed with rollerblades, I headed to Kelly Drive in Philadelphia, PA. There, I allowed myself to rollerblade and release my tears, a practice I affectionately coined 'rollerblade crying' – my unique form of therapy. This became a daily ritual, a powerful outlet that gradually restored my sense of self. As I reconnected with my passions – cultivating a positive mindset, nurturing mind-body harmony, embracing spirituality, and living a healthy lifestyle – I yearned to integrate them into my life’s work.

My quest led me to the wisdom of TCM, where I uncovered the profound link between physical and emotional well-being. It all clicked into place. TCM teaches that the emotion of grief is expressed through the lungs, and my vigorous rollerblading while shedding tears became a monumental release. This newfound understanding spurred me on a journey to a Shiatsu school, an hour's drive away, igniting my path to holistic healing.
